When she’s not enjoying a sunset at the beach or supporting people in need, Latonya Dixon turns her expert eye to ensuring the accuracy of data reporting for HeartcoR Solutions.

The driving force behind HeartcoR Solutions is a team of employees who combine diverse backgrounds, interests, and personalities to form a team with the skills and commitment required to complete cardiac safety studies on time and within budget. We’re proud to introduce you to the employees who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep research projects running smoothly. This week, meet Latonya Dixon, CCT, QA Technician.

Describe what you do at HeartcoR Solutions.

I provide quality assurance of the Holter and telemetry reports for accuracy of the interpretation completed by a technician prior to sending the report to the doctor’s office.

How long have you been with the company?

One year.

Why do you like working at HeartcoR Solutions?

HeartcoR has allowed me to work a job that I love when, in the recent past, other companies were laying off employees. The workplace security has been exemplified many times by HeartcoR and the company’s dedication to ensuring team members are treated with care has afforded me many great opportunities. 

What special skill or perspective do you bring to your job? 

I love problem solving and working in creative ways to complete a task. I have worked as a project manager in my previous positions. I have worked as a sales representative for devices and managed onboarding for healthcare providers.

What was your dream job as a child?

I wanted to be an OB-GYN.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

In my free time, my daughter and I look for families in our city of Las Vegas to feed and support with whatever resources or material items we may have. Our goal is to start a family business that provides free shelter to the homeless and those in need, along with health awareness and educational programs to give a helping hand to someone in need.

Who inspires you and why?

My family inspires me every day to be a better person. I am shown how to improve and use critical thinking in so many areas of life. They help me develop skills that I use regularly in the work that I do.

What do you like to do in your free time?

You can find me on the beach with the tides rippling and a hot cup of coffee or cocoa in my hand while I watch the sunrise or sunset.

How has working for HeartcoR influenced your view of healthcare?

You really can work for a company and feel like you’re family.

What one thing would you like clients and prospects to know about the HeartcoR team?

Is there a lesson you’ve learned from your teammates that you carry with you every day?

I cannot say that I have learned one lesson that stands out for me, as I learn so many valuable lessons every day from my team.
