Cayla Kleeman is a key communicator who educates participants and keeps trials on track.

We’re proud to introduce you to the employees who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep research projects running smoothly. This month, meet Clinical Research Associate Cayla Kleeman.

Describe what you do at HeartcoR Solutions.
As a clinical research associate (CRA), I am part of a dynamic team that supports multiple studies. The main component of my position is patient outreach. This ensures that each participating person follows the study requirements, along with device education and clarification of questions. Once a patient performs their recordings, I track completion so I can update the site and sponsor, as needed. I enjoy assisting patients; they make my job fun!

How long have you been with the company?
July is my one-year anniversary!

Why do you like working at HeartcoR Solutions?
I enjoy speaking with people. When I assist my patients, they like to thank me for my time and effort. It is rewarding to know I made a difference for someone.

What special skill or perspective do you bring to your job?
I find different ways of explaining device directions. Each patient is different, so each person needs it explained differently.

What was your dream job as a child?
I wanted to be a dentist.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I eat cupcakes like a sandwich. I tear the bottom cake in half and put it on top of the icing so the icing is in the middle of two cake layers.

Who inspires you and why?
My group of close friends. They show me how to enjoy life, while still excelling at life goals.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Read thriller novels.

How has working for HeartcoR influenced your view of healthcare?
I hear a lot of the struggles patients go through with chronic disease. It allows me to have great sympathy and understand how vital it is that each person gets individual attention to suit their needs.

What one thing would you like clients and prospects to know about the HeartcoR team?
HeartcoR is not just another business that performs tasks on a to-do list. Each individual invests energy and care into each study to ensure expectations are exceeded.
