HeartcoR Solutions, a leading ECG core lab that conducts cardiac safety studies for the pharmaceutical, medical device, and CRO industries, announced today that Ciaran Cooper has joined the company as CEO. Cooper, a veteran Chicago-area healthcare business leader with deep experience in strategic business growth and operations, will use his 30-plus years of industry expertise to guide the continued expansion of HeartcoR’s remote patient monitoring and cardiac clinical safety trials capabilities into new markets.

Cooper fills a position in the organization that was temporarily held by the founder and chairman of HeartcoR Solutions, Larry Lawson. Lawson will continue to lead HeartcoR, working in tandem with Cooper who will lead the team from the company’s headquarters in Schaumburg.

“Ciaran has the ideal mix of healthcare, pharmaceutical, and clinical trials experience blended with a business-growth mindset that will help HeartcoR achieve substantial growth in the coming years,” said Lawson. “The opportunities for decentralized cardiac safety trials are significant, and I’m thrilled that Ciaran is stepping into this role to support these growth opportunities for our organization and our partners.”

Prior to joining HeartcoR Solutions, Cooper served as President and General Manager for Philips Pharma Solutions (formerly BioTel Research), and held executive-level positions with Astellas Pharma, Median Technologies, and Bioclinica. Cooper serves on the Board of Directors for Hyp+ Access, and was recently elected to the Board of Trustees for Bennington College, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature and a Master of Fine Arts in writing and literature. Cooper also completed the Executive Training Program in Business Administration and Management through the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
